CAR MEETS IN NORTHERN TERRITORY
The NT scene is small but tight-knit, defined entirely by the dry-season cycle. The calendar comes to life from April through October. Darwin anchors the activity. The Cavallo Society organises regular meets, the Top End Drift Association (TEDA) runs the local drift scene, and Darwin Time Attack covers the lap-record side. JB Hi-Fi Berrimah and the Fort Hill carpark serve as recurring meet points, with Cars & Coffee mornings cycling through Stokes Hill Wharf and the Darwin Waterfront.
Hidden Valley Raceway just outside Darwin is the territory’s motorsport hub — a multi-discipline complex covering road circuit, drag racing, speedway and motocross. The Darwin Triple Crown Supercars round in June and the Tatts Finke Desert Race the same month stand as the year’s automotive centrepieces. Top End Mudracing keeps the off-road calendar active.
Alice Springs pulls a separate but consistent classic and muscle crowd around Finke. Katherine and the Top End townships run smaller informal meets that rarely make the public calendar. Register your club if you organise one and want it listed. Upcoming NT events we have indexed appear below. If the list looks short, that is a reflection of the territory’s size, not the depth of the local scene.
