THE BIG RETURN

7 years is a long time in motorsport, but that is exactly how long its been since Sports Compact formerly known as 2 Litre Sports Sedans raced around the iconic Sandown Raceway.

This December Sandown Raceway will host our Grand Finale to our 2026 championship season, and what a season it has been.

The battle for outright champion will be settled between current championship leader Nicholas Jones and challenger Linda Devlin. These two have gone at it all season with Devlin taking the early advantage, before Jones got on top of cooling issues at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Class A should go the way of Stevo Howard, as Neil Chesterton missed Round 2. Class C champion elect Andrew Kearns only needs to finish to collect his trophy, while Nicholas Kerr should take Class D honours.

Class B however will go down to the wire. Lee Nuttall holding a small 19 point advantage over Ben Moore in the ultimate Pulsar battle. Moore's Pulsar should be handling a lot better for the finale, after a post phillip island wheel alignment uncovered the reasons for his handling woes. Look for a speedy 88 at Sandown.

In summary, Outright, Class E and Class B are set for a titanic battle at an iconic venue and we can't wait!
