Privacy Policy
AXIS FEED is a free, public calendar of Australian car meets operated by MIDNIGHT_SPEC. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to have it removed. The short version: we collect your email only if you ask to be notified about meets, we use a privacy-friendly analytics tool to count page views, and we never sell or share your data with advertisers.
What we collect
- Email address — only if you opt in via the “ENGAGE UPLINK” subscribe form. Stored alongside the filters you chose (state, vibe, event type, frequency) so we can send you relevant notifications if and when we begin sending them.
- Anonymous usage analytics — we use PostHog to count page views, autocaptured clicks (which element you clicked and its visible text), and broken-page errors. PostHog stores a random ID in a first-party cookie and in localStorage. We do not call PostHog’s
identify()API, so this ID is never linked to your email or any personal information. Session recording and surveys are disabled. - Standard server logs — Cloudflare (our host) records request metadata such as IP address, user-agent, and timestamp for security and abuse prevention, per Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
We do not collect: names, phone numbers, payment details, precise location, browsing history outside this site, or any social-media identity unless you publicly tag us.
Why we collect it
- Email: to send you the meet notifications you signed up for. Nothing else.
- Analytics: to understand which states and vibes are most active so we can prioritise data quality, and to catch performance and 404 regressions.
- Server logs: security, rate-limiting, and debugging.
Where it’s stored
- Email subscriptions: Supabase (managed Postgres, Mumbai region —
ap-south-1). - Event images: Cloudflare R2 object storage.
- Analytics events: PostHog (US region —
us.i.posthog.com). - Site hosting and CDN: Cloudflare Pages.
All transfers are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Database access is restricted to MIDNIGHT_SPEC and gated by Postgres Row-Level Security; subscription writes go through a SECURITY DEFINER function so the public anon key cannot read the subscriber list.
Who we share it with
No one. We do not sell, rent, or share your email or analytics data with third parties. The processors named above (Supabase, Cloudflare, PostHog) act on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
How long we keep it
- Email: until you ask us to delete it. If we begin sending notifications, every email will also include an unsubscribe link.
- Analytics: retained per PostHog’s default project retention.
- Server logs: retained per Cloudflare’s default policy.
Delete or access your data
Email [email protected] from the address you subscribed with and we’ll confirm deletion within a few days. Australian residents have rights under the Privacy Act 1988; if you’re in the EU/UK, you have rights under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection).
Cookies and local storage
We use PostHog’s first-party cookie and localStorage entries for anonymous analytics. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party trackers. You can block analytics by enabling your browser’s tracking-protection feature or using an extension like uBlock Origin; the site works fine without analytics.
Children
AXIS FEED is a public events calendar with no account system. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13 (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country). If you believe a child has subscribed, email us and we’ll remove the record.
Changes
If we change this policy, the “Last updated” date above will change. Material changes (new data we collect, new processors, new sharing) will also be announced on the homepage.
