SCORCHER RETURNS TO SYDNEY!

Australian Drag Racing Pioneer Ash Marshall’s legendary front-engine Top Fuel Dragster, SCORCHER, is coming to BANGERS & MASH 2026!

This is a VERY special piece of Australian Drag Racing history.

On 1 February 1969, Ash Marshall drove SCORCHER to a blistering 203.66MPH, becoming the FIRST Australian race car to break through the magical 200MPH barrier!

After spending several years in the USA under the ownership of Australian expat Dennis Young in California, SCORCHER has returned home and been lovingly restored to its original racing condition by current owner Rob Clifford, with help from Paul Davies and the Leahy Family.

Ash Marshall was one of the true pioneers of Australian Drag Racing and was inducted into the Australian Motorsport Hall of Fame in 2016.

And now, his legendary AA/Fuel Dragster is coming to Sydney Dragway!

SCORCHER will be on display at Bangers & Mash before firing up on NITRO for a CACKLE!

Ash Marshall never failed to put on a show, and on Saturday, 31 October, you’ll have the chance to get up close to one of the most significant Dragsters in Australian racing history.
