Original post caption

As stunt riders know, footwear plays a huge role in both safety and bike control. Stunt riding requires constant manoeuvring, flexibility and precise foot movement — particularly when operating the rear brake, gear lever and foot controls while performing on the stunt pad.

Because of this, we understand that riders need footwear that still provides enough comfort, flexibility and feel to properly control the motorcycle. However, that flexibility cannot come at the expense of basic ankle protection.

Moving forward, all riders must wear footwear that covers the ankle and provides adequate ankle support and protection. Why have we updated the policy?

When stunt riding, your feet and ankles can be exposed to impacts, twisting, contact with the bike and contact with the ground. At the same time, riders need the freedom of movement required to comfortably and accurately find and operate the rear brake lever, especially during technical manoeuvres. Please come prepared. If your footwear does not meet the updated requirements, you may not be permitted to ride until suitable footwear is worn.

If you’re unsure whether your shoes are acceptable, send us a photo before your session and we’ll confirm for you.

Ride Safe. Ride Strong.
