ROAD TO NATIONALS | JOEL CARRELLO

Joel Carrello races his 1984 BMW E30 318is Turbo, and before making the jump into IPRA he was, in his own words, a self-certified professional Gran Turismo and Need for Speed race car driver.

Although it’s only Joel’s second full season racing in Improved Production, you’ll most definitely find him at the front of the pack. He’s already taken multiple round wins this season and has quickly made himself one of the drivers to watch.

For Joel, it’s the door-to-door racing that makes Improved Production so addictive. He sees close competition as the ultimate measuring stick for driving ability, and that’s exactly where he thrives.

There’s plenty more planned for both Joel and the E30, with continued development of the car, a goal of travelling Australia to experience some of the country’s premier circuits, and plans to race overseas in the near future.
