Nugget Outlaws Budget Race is a fun, no-frills grassroots motorsport event focused on affordability, creativity, and entertainment. This is not a competitive race—it’s all about having a laugh with your mates while pushing budget cars to their limits.

If you’re taking this as a serious race this is not the event for you! And bluntly we don’t want you there.

• Date: 5th September

• Time: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM

• Location: Queensland Raceway

• Supported by: QPG, Zoo Performance, Queensland Raceway , Lowkey Auto & Performance and Rhys Hockley (hocks mod shop)

Track Layout

A custom-designed layout will be used, featuring:

• Water crossings

• Hay bale chicanes

• Car blockers

• Additional obstacles to keep things unpredictable and entertaining

Vehicle Requirements

• Must be a 4-cylinder, front-wheel drive vehicle

• Maximum budget including mods value: $4,000

• Proof required (receipt + screenshot of purchase)

• No semi-slick tyres permitted

• China radial tyres only

• All vehicles must have:

• Working lights

• All panels fitted (including bonnet)

• No loose objects inside

• Mandatory theme:

• Cars must be creatively themed (e.g. army camo, etc.)

• Standard-looking cars will NOT be accepted

Driver Requirements

• Minimum 3 drivers, maximum 4 drivers per car

• All drivers must be 18 years or older (no exceptions)

Safety Requirements

• Tow straps fitted to vehicle

• Fire extinguisher in vehicle

• Approved helmet required

• Full coverage clothing:

• Long sleeves (neck to wrist)

• Long pants (waist to ankle)

• Enclosed shoes

Note:

• No roll cages, race seats, or harnesses required

• Teams compete to complete the highest number of laps

• Obstacles and rules add a twist:

• Hitting hay bales = lap penalties

• Hitting cones or going off track = laps deducted from final total
