Great news out of speedway land today, with 2017 Australian Supersport 300 champion @reidbattye33 officially nominated to contest his first Australian Speedway Championship in 2026.

Reid won the Supersport 300 title at just 16 years old, but the lure of dirt eventually saw him switch to flat tracking and then speedway a couple of years ago.

After starting out in state-based speedway events, he’s been on a steep learning curve – but his stocks have risen to the extent that he’ll now be battling against speedway heavyweights @jackholder_25, @holder_23, @rohantungate et al come round one in Wodonga on January 3.
